Kathleen (“Kay”) Hannah Warriner
On October 10, 2017 at the age of 90 years, Kathleen (also known as Kay) left us to once again go dancing with her beloved husband Les who predeceased her in 2011.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cheri (Scott) Montgomery and sons Gord (Donna) Warriner and Cam (Janice) Warriner, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, brother Gerald (Irma) Armsworthy and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Maxine and her brother Lewis.
Born and raised in Aylesbury, Saskatchewan, Kay Armsworthy met Les Warriner while studying nursing in Regina. They were married in 1947 and soon moved to Calgary where they lived until 1997 when they retired to Claresholm in Southern Alberta. In 2014, Kay moved to Silver Birch Lodge in Sherwood Park.
Kay was a kind and caring individual, much loved by everyone who met her. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Balwin Villa for their kindness, support and care shown Kay in her final days.
A Celebration of Life with communion will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4 Raven Drive, Sherwood Park on Saturday, October 21 at 1:00 PM. A private family service of interment will take place at Colchester Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Kay’s honor may be made to The Excel Society in Edmonton or to a charity of one’s choice.
