Kathleen “Katie” Emma Morton

Katie (Kathleen Emma) Morton

Our family is heartbroken to announce the sudden and violent passing of our precious and beloved daughter Katie on Sunday July 12, 2015 at the age of 27 years. While Katie struggled with addiction and life’s choices, we loved her still. She had a tender, vulnerable and empathetic heart. Katie was taking positive steps to turn her life around and was optimistic about the future when she was taken from us. We trust that she is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus.

Katie will be sadly missed by her family including her parents, Janice and Bob Morton. Katie was predeceased by both her maternal grandparents (Marion and William Kenney of Ottawa) and her paternal grandparents (Molly and Tom Morton of Cambridge, Ontario).

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday July 17, 2015 at Beulah Alliance Church (17504 98A Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta). Cremation has taken place.

As an expression of sympathy, please consider making a memorial contribution directly to Classrooms for Africa (www.classroomsforafrica.org) or Compassion Canada.
