While stationed in Vancouver, Karen met her handsome Scotsman, William (Bill) Eadie, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016. Over the years – Karen transferred her passion for the piano to a generation of Glenora neighbourhood kids by teaching them to “tickle the ivories”. Karen was also a voracious reader, lifelong learner and a member of the Glenora Ladies Bookclub. Karen was a talented seamstress and an enthusiastic member of a quilting group in Sherwood Park. Karen had a soft spot in her heart for cats, ideally sitting on her lap. Her family dinners were the stuff of legend as a master chef and baker.
