It is with great sadness yet divine peace that we share the passing of our beloved Mom, Grammie and friend, Judith Ann Yoder.
Born March 2, 1943 and died October 23, 2017, Judy is lovingly remembered by her family: daughters Shannon Ebbesen, Marlo White, Monica Vanderleest, Nicole Ebessen Rowan; sons-in-law Scott Vanderleest and Duane Rowan; grandchildren Mireya and Logan White, Calla, Elsie and Magne Vanderleest, Turner, Ansel and Selah Rowan; and siblings Gary Yoder, Marie Olson and Lori McLachlan. Judy was loved by many and especially dear to Andy and Linda Vanderleest and Fred and Leanne Munn and their girls, Abbie and Sarah.
Judy touched the lives of many friends and neighbours. She will be missed by the ladies of her Bible study, the many families on her Run for the Cure Team “2 John 6” and countless more whose expressions of care and compassion were such a blessing to her in her final days. She loved abundantly and prayed for us all without ceasing. We are going to miss her twinkling blue eyes, positivity, generosity, sense of humour, devotion to her loved ones, and most of all, her steadfast faith.
We rejoice knowing Judy is restored and whole in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! She is reunited with her parents, Lloyd and Vera, and her brother Eugene. The hope and promise of Heaven has sustained Judy these many years as she courageously faced her diagnosis of advanced metastatic breast cancer. Her thankful heart is inspiring.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Beulah Alliance Church on Saturday, October 28 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Please wear something bright and colourful in tribute to Judy’s joyful spirit!
Special thanks to Dr. Mackey at the Cross Cancer Institute, Dr. Ann Lee, and Dr. Chandrasenan and all the staff at the Edmonton General Hospice.
Judy’s wish was for any memorial donations to be made to Beulah Alliance Church Ministries. https://beulah.ca/give/
