JOSEPHINE (JO) GALL
Josephine Gall (nee Boychuk), 95, passed on to her eternal home December 13, 2016.
Born on June 3, 1921 in Carvel, Alberta, she was the oldest child of the late Victor Boychuk and Caroline Smigelski.
After completing high school, Jo trained as a stenographer and worked as a secretary
for several years. She married the love of her life, Lou Gall, September 3, 1945. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage.
Jo was actively involved in Zion Baptist Church teaching Sunday School and CGIT (Canadian Girls in Training), serving as deaconess and in various positions in the Women`s Mission Society , and discipled several young women. Most of all, Jo will be remembered as a prayer warrior for people around the globe.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Joseph Gall, and by her sisters Barbara
Melnyk and Elizabeth Rackel.
Jo, lovingly known as Baba, is survived by her daughters: Carol Gall of Edmonton, and Laura Chamberlain (Richard) of Winchester, Kentucky; grandchildren: Jeff Chamberlain (Maureen), Tina Hogan (Michael), Ben Chamberlain, Amy Chamberlain, and Jodi Chamberlain; great grandchildren: Thomas, Bronwyn and Murphy Chamberlain and Louis and Edie Hogan; brothers, John and Martin Boychuk of Edmonton, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and Rita Aeichele, special family friend and caregiver.
