Joseph Kokas


During the late hours of Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Mr. Joseph Kokas, long-time resident of Drayton Valley passed away at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 88 years. He has joined Carol, his wife of nearly 64 years. Joe was well known for his love of flying his plane, expertise and wisdom of “everything” guns, enticing stories, and his involvement in the oil patch. Joe will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by his son, Wayne (Roxanne); grandchildren, Blane (Angela), Aaron (Shawn) and Shane (Matt); great-granddaughter, Tillanea; brothers, Eddie (Carol) and Myles (Adele); sister, Helen, as well as several extended family. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Carol; son, Larry; parents, Joseph and Johanna; brother, Henry, as well as many other family members and close friends. The family of Mr. Joseph Kokas would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Cody Thompson and all staff at Drayton Valley Hospital, as well as all staff and residents of Sunrise Village for their care, concern and friendship over the years.
