It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rev. Stephen Johnstone at Leduc, Alberta at the age of 70 years.

Steve fought a good fight, and finished the course, Steve kept the faith. Now he has received his crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge has prepared for him. Ruth, Jeff and Angela, may you draw close to the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort today and through the coming days.
With our love and prayers

So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. When his father & mother pastored at Timber River Church, N.B. Steve taught me piano lessons. I will always be thankful for that. Steve is now playing piano in heaven. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Ruth,
My remembrance of you and Steve goes back to your Faith Tabernacle days. I was one of your youth and was so blessed by being part of the choir and also doing some various youth activities. My parents (Ken and Vilda Knowles) knew Steve (Or as Mom always called him, Stevie) from when his parents pastored in Parrsboro, NS and he was only young.
At this time may you find great comfort in our LORD’S presence and we are praying for you and the family.

We thank God for the many years of friendship and the boatloads of memories. I’m sure Steve is in heaven assemblying a choir. His passion for misic lifted many a soul to the presence of God. Now he is in the place he so often sang about. He is home at last.
