JOHNSON, Yvette Marie

JOHNSON, Yvette Marie
March 13, 1949 to April 26, 2021

At the age of 72, our beloved Mom/Grandma/Sister/Aunt/Friend, Yvette left us to be with her Creator and Saviour. Here to cherish her memory are her daughters: Geneviève (G) and Andréa (A); their husbands (who she affectionately called her “sons-in-love”): Kem (G) and Sean (A); and her precious grandchildren: Dawson (A), Abigael (G), Samuel (G), and Michael (G). Yvette was the eldest of four surviving siblings: Raymond (Audrey), Albert (Sandra), Lucie (John), and Luc (Marianne). She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends. She looked forward to reuniting with the loved ones who went before her, including her parents, Gérard and Annette Johnson; and her eldest daughter, Monique Beaudoin. Yvette will be remembered for her joie de vie, friendly nature, deep spirituality, talent for singing and songwriting, delicious dishes, great sense of style, and contagious laugh. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed dancing, decorating, designing, writing, gardening, and hosting. All were welcome in her home and in her heart. She had an endearing, childlike quality — loved carnival rides, parades, and charades. Yvette was a dreamer and a hopeless romantic. May all her dreams come true and may she be part of the greatest love story ever told, as the bride of Christ. May she dance the day away and enjoy decorating her heavenly home, where she is sure to host the most exquisite, fun-filled celebrations.

Notre chère Yvette, toi qui avait le cœur tendre et gai, tu nous manqueras toujours. Repose en paix dans les bras de Dieu.
