John Edward Chinery

On January 24, 2018, John Edward Chinery of Edmonton, (formerly of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), passed away at the age of 75 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sylvia; his children: Laura, Sean (Allison) and Carmen; grandchildren: Abigail and Graeme.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 10902 – 96 Street, Edmonton at 7:00 pm with Archimandrite Philip Speranza officiating. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Elias Orthodox Church, Pakan, Alberta with Archimandrite Gerasim Power officiating.

Interment in the church cemetery to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Elias Orthodox Parish – c/o Sharon Kurceba, PO Box 327, Smoky Lake, AB T0A 3C0 or a charity of your choice.
