On January 20, 2014 at the age of 63, our beloved John said goodbye to his family and friends after a brief battle with cancer. Our sincere gratitude is extended to the staff at St. Joseph’s Palliative Care for their incredible care and concern for John and the family, as well as Dr. Mehta of the U of A, the Leduc Community Hospital and our host of friends and family for their support and help.
John is survived by his wife Barb; children Ashley (Wendy), Jeremy (Brandy); step-children Todd (Helen) Jones, Brent (Kelley) Jones, Jacqueline Jones (Curtis Galas); grandchildren Tyler Alcock, Emily Alcock; step-grandchildren Jamee Panas, Jordan (Kaitlynn) Panas, Devon (Amber) Panas, Hunter Jones, Parker Lemko, Freya and Vivian Jones; step-great-grandchildren Jai’dean Jones, Lelyn Hoffman-Jones, Kylar Hoffman-Jones, Alora Panas; siblings Iris Sabrowski, Connie Zulaini, Auline Arychuk, Gail Day, Faye (John) Christensen, Alan (Debbie) Alcock and Linda Thonger; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. John was predeceased by parents Sidney and Winnifred Alcock.
Cremation has taken place and no service will be held, holding with John’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring and notice will be given.
