John was born and lived in Saskatchewan. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1957 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He worked in Moose Jaw, Tacoma Washington, Esterhazy Saskatchewan and Regina. He bought and owned a company called Skyline Products and Guardian Chemicals, first in Regina and then in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He loved hockey, football and enjoyed golfing and traveling.
He will be missed forever by his wife and friend of 56 years of marriage, Shirley; sons, Kevin, Kendall and Keith of Edmonton, son Kerry in Australia and grandson Tyler in Australia, who was his buddy.
A service to remember John will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 1:00 PM at First United Church, 10409-100 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan. A special thank you to the wonderful nurses in palliative care in the Fort Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Smylie of the Cross Cancer Institute and Dr. Kumari of the For Saskatchewan Health Centre.
