Skivinci – The mountain is my canvas, the ski is my brush.
In the early morning of 04 August 2017, Peter Mühlberghuber of Edmonton AB, formerly of Kitchener ON and Kelowna BC, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side. Peter was 61.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Moira Stewart; his mother, Beatrix Mühlberghuber; father, Fritz (Rose) Mühlberghuber; brother, Tony (Deb Lewis) Mühlberghuber; son, Matthew Mühlberghuber; daughter Monica (Cody) Cross; grandchildren Brooklyn and Jaxon, niece Tara, and nephew, Brandon.
Peter was pre-deceased by his brother, Fritz.
Born in Kitchener, Peter moved to Edmonton in 1976, then to Kelowna in 1979, and back to Edmonton in 2001.
A life-long skier, Peter was happiest in his beloved mountains. His wish was that he be remembered for how he lived – the joy of carving down the ski hill on his mono-ski, or riding his bike, or driving stick.
Special thanks to Drs. Chu, Watanabe, and Severin and the team at the Cross Cancer Institute, and Dr. Clark and the team at the Norwood Hospice.
Cremation has already taken place.
A celebration of Peter’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the charity of your choosing.
