On January 4, 2018 Janet (Jan) Mary Grant (nee: Stachera) of St. Albert, AB passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and dogs, at the age of 57 years.
Jan is survived by her loving family; her husband Ian; her children Meagan (Albert);
Kyle (Kacie) and their daughter Freya; her sister Arlie (Garry) Melnyk; her brother Dave (Denise); her mother-in-law Evelyn, and by many relatives and friends.
Jan was predeceased by her parents Mike and Irene Stachera; her father-in-law Howard Grant, and by her nephew Mike Melnyk.
Ian, Kyle, and Meagan want to thank the Cross Cancer Institute family for all of their
friendship, support, kindness, and care throughout Jan’s illness.
A Celebration of Jan’s Life will be held at the St. Albert Inn, 156 St Albert Trail,
St Albert, AB on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Heather Roukema-Gritter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Cross Cancer Institute or to the Edmonton Humane Society.

Jan you have left this earth too soon and were one of the best nurses that I have worked with at the Cross with much compassion and care for your patients and towards everyone else. I will always remember your smile and striking blue eyes. We will miss you, but will remember you! Prayers and condolences go out to your grieving family.
