WARD, James Michael
1969 – 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of James Michael Ward, from Leduc Alberta, announces his passing on September 28, 2019 at the age of 49. He peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side. James strength and perseverance were prevalent in his battle for life.
James was born in Soest, Germany December 20, 1969. He moved to Canada at the age of 4 and resided in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan until 1996. He attended both the University of Alberta and the University of Saskatchewan. As well, he ran the family business for many years. He permanently moved to Alberta in 1996 where he married, raised his family, worked in the oilfield and built a successful business. James led an exemplary life. He coached many of his children’s sports teams through the years and loved spending time with friends and family. James was a creative, motivated genius. He spoke what he felt, had an incredible competitive spirit, was exceptionally industrious and extremely conscientious.
James is survived by his loving wife Lisa of 23 years, his children Zachary, Quinn and Hudson, his parents Shirley and Garry Ward, his brother Shawn (Lisa), Kristen, Evan, Garry, Sam, mother-in-law Monica and father-in-law Don, brother-in-law Todd (Julie), Caelyn, Jiness, Mark, brother-in-law Darcy (Jane)Tiffany, McKenzie, brother-in-law Jeff (Vanessa) along with many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Best Western Premier Denham Inn 5207-50 Avenue in Leduc, Alberta.
