So very sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a wonderful person and I really enjoyed seeing her everyday at Extendicare and had some great conversations with her which I will truly miss. My condolences to all your family.

Isabel was a great lady with a good sense of humour who was a wonderful friend to my mom, Jo Bishop. Every Sunday after church, the two of them would visit shut-ins and “old” folks. The irony was that they were older than most of the old folks they were visiting.

They and other friends from church would often gather together at Mom’s house or homes of the other ladies to play table/board games, drink tea and socialize. They always had a hilarious time. One of my favourite memories of Isabel was the year her UCW group dressed up like the Calendar Girls. Who knew that they had no cardboard covering their backs? Some very surprised men who were serving lunch found out inadvertently when they came through the door unexpectedly!

Our family was always happy to include Isabel in all of our activities and get-togethers. She always brought a spark of joy to each event. We will all miss her very much.

RIP Isabel. I hope you and Mom are enjoying catching up, and beating your husbands at cards, crokinole, and skittles!
