It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Vergil Olson on January 30, 2018 after a long battle with dementia at the age of 80. He is survived by his five children, Alexia, Meredith, Vanessa, Christopher, Shorlea, and grandsons Julian and Lincoln. He was deeply loved as a father, social justice warrior, artist, and professor. He touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness and empathy and will be remembered for his compassion for those less fortunate.

Sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin virg. Sorry I could not have seen more of him in the years previous but different parts of the country made it impossible. It is a real tribute to a man that had a heart for disenfranchised. Rest well cous.
