Harry W. Hildebrand passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 22nd at the age of 85.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Esther, sons Patrick (Cheryl), Curtis (Janice), Reg (Sonia) and daughter Rebecca. His nine grandchildren Jillian, Felicity, Stephanie (Ryck) Schielke, Karmin (Zachary) Schmuecker, Joel, Elizabeth and Leah will miss him dearly. Harry is also survived by three sisters Alice Porte, Edna Jackman, Gloria, and his two brothers Edwin (Joyce) and Dale. Harry was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jacob (Jake).
Harry was actively involved in the church and town council in Plum Coulee prior to moving to Wetaskiwin. He was also a key member of the Wetaskiwin Church of God.
Harry was born to Jacob and Helena in Plum Coulee and lived there until 1989 when they relocated in Winkler until moving to Wetaskiwin in 2011.
Harry worked as a salesman for Gardenland Foods in Winkler from 1953-1965 then Weston Bakeries from 1965-1994. After his retirement in 1994 he worked for Winkler Meats, and also delivered Motor Homes for Triple E Canada.
A celebration of life for Harry was held Sunday, August 27 in the Wetaskiwin Church of God.
