In the early afternoon of July 11, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family, Ernest passed away to be with his Lord and Savior whom he loved, followed and served his whole life. While his passing leaves a huge void in our lives, we thank God for his life and for now releasing him from all his pain and struggles. Ernest leaves with us a legacy of unconditional kindness, courage, hard work and determination. We are all honoured to be part of his family and he will be loved and missed forever.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 61 years; his four children Caroline, Raymond, Crystal (Brian), Lisa (Marcel); six grandchildren Meagan, Jared, Lucas, Ethan, Nate and Anna; and brother Lawrence (Mary). He was predeceased by his parents Waldemar and Elsie Heppner.
We would like to thank the staff at the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre and the Grey Nuns Hospital for their care.
Donations in memory of Ernest may be made to the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Building fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
