On March 27, 2021, we said goodbye to Mark Elvis Helle. Mark has suffered from a brain injury and epilepsy for a long time. He was a kind and happy soul who was very proud of his Native culture. Mark had lived in many group homes in the Edmonton area for many years. He really enjoyed living at Ambrose Place (Niginan Housing Ventures). He really considered this his home away from home. Mark also loved playing cribbage and listening to music, and also playing pool in his younger years. But most of all Mark really loved Elvis Presley music. He would sing Elvis songs wherever he would go.
Mark was a son, brother, uncle, friend. Mark leaves behind his father Gerald Helle; brothers: Blue McAllister, Doyle Helle, and Darren Helle; and sisters: Loretta Sather, Juanita Helle, Bobbi-Jo Helle, and Cindy Leclerc. Mark also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mark is predeceased by his mother Josephine Helle, sister Rose Helle, and brother Randy Helle.
Cremation has taken place and a small gathering will take place at a later date.
