It is with a great sadness and much love that we say “see you later” to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and our best friend Helen Catharine Ann Nolan, who passed away on March 21, 2018 at 81 years young. She will forever be remembered by her daughters Susan (Herb), Lisa (Leeroy), Andrea (Aaron), and Christina (Guy); Grandchildren Alise, Alexa, Ashlynne, Adriana, Olivia, Benjamin, Liam, Evan, and Shane; Great-granddaughter Sehnalee; Siblings, Beth, Jimmy (Dale), and Ruth (Al).
Helen was predeceased by her son Richard Anthony Macaluso; husband Terry Nolan; former husband Joseph Macaluso.
Mom’s legacy will live in all of us. Her kindness and her generosity were widespread and her positive outlook and zest for life is what we hold dear from having the privilege of knowing her. We can all honour her by remembering the laughter and appreciating the little things in life. She loved the sound of rain and the feeling of the sun on her skin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the palliative care staff at the General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, who cared for her during her time there. Memorial donations in Helen’s honour may be made directly to the Covenant Foundation www.covenantfoundation.ca specify St. Joseph’s Palliative. Mom also had a special place in her heart and personally donated to the Boyle Street Service Society [email protected]
“So, when tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart”.

Helen was a vivacious woman and I will remember her fondly. We shared many meals at my home when she was with my dad Sam and I appreciate her humour and and the caring attitude she had. You could not ever be sad when Helen was around as she had that sunny disposition about her. She made my dad happy and for that I am grateful. Rest well Helen, your audience awaits you and you can entertain to your hearts content. You are missed
