Heather Denise Sadowski

Sadowski, Heather Denise

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend on September 17, 2015. Heather was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan on Jan. 19, 1959 and passed away after a courageous yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer.

She is survived by her beloved husband Daniel, daughters Hannah (Cody), Monica, Rebecca and Alaina, her parents Harold and Lillian Guy from Prince Albert, Sk., her brother Byron (Heather) and sister Andrea (Darcy) Kohut. She was also blessed with numerous aunties and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews along with her favorite young ones- London and Maclaren Kohut and Olivia, Eve and Esme Kobelsky with whom she loved to play games and go swimming.

Heather graduated in nursing from the University of Saskatchewan in 1981 and loved working as a community health nurse in Saskatoon and Calgary. Edmonton has been home for over 23 years with many of those years involved with church and school volunteering. Heather’s life was characterized by her unshakable faith in Jesus Christ. She loved travelling, visiting with friends and hosting large gatherings.

Cremation has taken place with internment at a later time.

A celebration of Heather’s life will take place at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church (10603 Ellerslie Rd SW Edmonton) at 12:00 p.m on Wednesday Sept 23.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Brightwood Ranch Camp (Hope Mission- http://hopemission.com/donate) or to the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (www. cdhf.ca/en/donate) would be welcomed.

Tribute wall - a place to share your memories and condolences

I was so sorry to hear of Heather’s passing. I just heard from a friend today.
I pray that God will strengthen you all as you keep your trust in him.
I was the one who painted Heather and Dan’s home four years ago.
Each morning when I turned up at the house to paint, she would welcome me by saying “Here is my Painter Extraordinaire”. She would also bring us donuts and coffee.
I always appreciated this and have never forgotten how well she treated us all at the house.
God bless you all at this time.
Chris Turner (Painter).
