My deepest sympathy to all of Hazels family , she always spoke with love of all of you. Hazel was my next door neighbor in Cranberry Court for many years. I was sad when she moved we had some good times together. The last time I saw her was on her birthday, she was smiling and happy with her family. Jean Carruthers

Growing up, Aunt Hazel was my favorite aunt. She was always fun to be around, very dedicated to her family and would go after anyone who threatened them. She was the youngest daughter in the Garbe family. She and my Mom Kay were great friends and when she, Jean and my Mom got together great stories and laughter would go on for many hours and even days. Hazel was the last of the Garbe sisters, I hope they are together now, telling more stories and laughing again with each other.

Our hearts go out to all of you. Auntie Hazel – the best aunt ever! So much fun and so much caring wrapped up in that little package we all loved so much. She always welcomed everyone. Always shared a laugh and made even hard times easier. Took care of everyone and was there for the entire extended family. She was an amazing friend, mentor and just an all-round good person. There are few like Hazel and we count ourselves so lucky to have been part of her life. Know that we are thinking of you and wish we could be there. Much love – Vin Welsh and Elissa Grimm
