AMBROCK, Harry Paul
April 30, 1932-September 1, 2013
On a warm and peaceful late summer afternoon, and with family at his side, Harry left his loved ones to begin a new journey with family and friends who have gone before him. He was loved more than words can say and he will be sadly missed.
He is survived by Shirley, his best friend and wife of 59 years; daughters Leslie (Bill Yaremko) and Elizabeth (Ted Dewolf); sons Vincent (Bonnie), Bill (Roxene) and James (Christina); granddaughter Bronwyn; grandsons Chris (Miranda Sevigny), Jesse and Erik; and great-grandson Parker. He is also survived by one sister (Kathleen) and by many loving nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
Harry had many kind visitors during his stay at the hospice, but a special thank-you to nephew Ken Ambrock. A very special thank-you to the thoughtful, professional staff at the Mel Miller Hospice, who provided compassionate care for our beloved father and kind support for our entire family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 8424-95 Ave., Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for the Mel Miller Hospice, Caritas Foundation, 93C60, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4, directed to unit 9Y at the Edmonton General Hospital.
“Your wisdom, your kind and generous heart, and your love of family will be missed forever”.
