Harry Julius Hotz was born April 1, 1922, in St. Boswells, Saskatchewan. He was the fourth child of Frederick and Gertrude Hotz. While serving in the army, on September 18, 1945, he married Edith Joan Fox of London, England. After living in Regina, Saskatchewan for sixty years he along with his wife moved to Edmonton in 2009, where he resided first at Caleb Manor and the last four years at Churchill Manor and recently at Hardisty Care Centre.
Harry passed into the presence of His Lord and Saviour, peacefully on February 26, 2014 at the age of 91.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Joan; two children: Trevor (Merla), of Edmonton, AB and Cheryl (Paul Dewaalmalefyt) of Surrey, North Dakota; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters: Staar Brown (Jack) of Regina, Saskatchewan, Dorothy Smith (Harold) of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Dorothy Smith (Harold) of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Violet Graham (Bill) of Regina, Saskatchewan and his younger brother Eldie (Mary) Hotz of Regina, Saskatchewan.
