MISECK, Harry Gregory
November 24, 1924 – September 27, 2015
Born in Postupel, Poland on November 24, 1924 to Anna and Michael Miciuk and died September 27, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Agnes, his daughters Terryl and Lorie (Terry Wickham) and sister Anne.
He was predeceased by his son Dennis and daughters Betty, Sheila and Maxine; his parents and sister Helen. He leaves behind nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Harry came to Canada with his parents in 1930. He learned Morse code at the age of seventeen, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and worked for the Northern Alberta Railways as operator, railway agent, operations manager, intermodal manager and later Train Master for CN. Telegraphy was always his love. As was music. He was a superb storyteller, a great cook, and a true lover of nature. He will be sadly missed and always cherished.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 2 at 2 p.m., St. Andrews United Church 1A Fieldstone Drive, Spruce Grove. In lieu of flowers donations can me made to a charity of your choice.
