It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to the incredible and absolutely one-of-a-kind Linda Claire Hanington, who passed away peacefully on January 28, 2021 at the age of 74.
Linda was a kind, generous, selfless, strong and loving woman who was fiercely devoted to and incredibly proud of her family, friends and loved ones. She was a mother, sister, daughter, Nonna, Zia, Auntie, mentor and friend. She had a positive impact on every life she touched, and will be lovingly remembered by many people.
Linda is survived by her children Patrick (wife Chantel and daughter Victoria) and Kathryn (husband John), siblings Rick (Linda), Angie (Keith) and Garry (Kathy), as well as a large and loving extended family and many friends.
A cremation has taken place, and Linda has requested that she be laid to rest alongside her mother and father in Hylo, Alberta on a beautiful warm day in the Spring/Summer. A Celebration of Life will take place at that time, barring gathering restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s honour may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

I want to send my sympathies to Linda’s family. My relationship with Linda was for a very short time in my life as we were supporting husbands through Law School. Linda made a wonderful impression on my and I will never forget the times we spent together.

Life takes us in many directions and some people pass through our lives and make a lasting impression. Linda was one of those people who was in my life for a short time but was never forgotten. My sympathies go out to her family at this sad time. May the memories hold you in good stead for your lifetime.

Linda and I lost touch over the years. I have many fond memories of our times together and will always cherish the friendship we had way back then. Rest in peace, lovely lady. Heartfelt condolences to her loving family and friends.

I have known Linda for many years through our children at school and kept in touch even when later we were in different countries.
Linda was indeed a lovely friend and I saw her in 2015 when I was on holiday and we all got together.
Linda will live on in her wonderful family.
Rest in peace,
Margaret

Linda was my sister-in-law, but to me she was a beautiful friend. I will always regret that COVID robbed me of the opportunity to see her and give her the biggest hug. Love and kisses.
