With family at her side, Wendy Hamilton (nee Harper) passed away on July 10, following a lengthy and hard-fought battle with chronic illness.

Missed and remembered by all those who knew her, Wendy is survived by her love of 35 years, Gordon Mah; three children; Lee (Brandon), Brandan (Erin), Jessica (Logan), her heart’s true joy, her two grandsons; Eli and Leo, and by her four brothers; Don, Doug, Darryl and Dean and sister, Debbie and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Grace Harper.

The chapters of Wendy’s life, woven together, told a story that was uniquely hers. While both complex and intricate, her day-to-day was most often filled with the simple things. Her daily routines and finding joy in small moments both delighted her and brought her comfort.

Her greatest moments of course, were those spent in the company of her family. Be it a short visit or momentous occasion, being together held the same special space in her heart. The happiness and peacefulness that radiated from her when she was with her children and grandchildren made it abundantly clear that they were her proudest achievement. Her loving spirit, joyful heart, infectious laughter, and warmest hugs have painted the most beautiful memories in their hearts and will be missed beyond measure.

A private celebration of life has taken place.
Interment will be held on Thursday, September 22nd at 2pm at Glenwood cemetery in Sherwood Park.
