On Saturday, June 6, 2020, our beloved wife, mother, Oma, Great Oma, sister, and aunt passed peacefully to her heavenly home with family by her side.
Tina will be forever missed by her beloved and devoted husband of 61 years, Adrian; her children: Joanne (Daryl), Wendy (Gary), Caroline (Dave), John (Marla), and Trish (Fred); 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings: Aaltje, Aaf, Henk, Dirk, Piet, Klarie, their spouses, her special cousin Tinie, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents and her brother, Jan.
Tina was born in St. Jacobiparochie, Netherlands in 1929 and immigrated to Canada to pursue her nursing career, where she met the love of her life, Adrian, whom she married in 1958. The family would like to thank Dr. Adam Parrish and the staff of Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre in Edmonton for the excellent care Tina received over the last 11 years.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private memorial/celebration of Tina’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, memorial donations in Tina’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & NWT, #306 – 10430 61 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB, T6H 2J3.

Adrian and Joanne, I was very sorry to hear of Tina’s passing. She had a very loving husband and daughter which reflects on the loving woman she obviously was. Please accept my deepest condolences and know that I often think of you both with fondness.

Missing you so much Mom ❤️
If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
Love always and forever in my heart ❤️
