Gregory Alexander Murray

-

Greg was born August 2, 1983 in Barrhead, AB.
Complications from Muscular Dystrophy
brought his life to an end all to soon on July 23, 2015.

Greg accomplished many things in his life that people with his condition often cannot. He saved and bought his own car. He was a very good driver although he did get one speeding ticket, much to his embarrassment. He loved to take his younger brothers to movies and for fast food with his own set of wheels. Greg loved to travel and was many places in the world. He went to Disneyland, the Panama Canal, Hawaii (twice), Italy, Greece, Turkey (Istanbul and Ephessus). In Egypt he especially like the pyramids on the Plains of Giza. In Italy he was able to tour Pompeii. He had more travel plans to visit eastern Canada and the Maritimes. His goal was also to tour Europe, sadly he did not get to realize this ambition. He was a whiz on the computer, conquering window 8. He enjoyed playing on line games with his brother Brendon and friends. He delighted in designing space ships on a Zero gravity design program. Greg was intently interested in World affairs, the middle east in particular. Politics in Canada and the U.S. fascinated him. He favored the Conservative side and was willing to debate anyone at a moments notice. He had an intense interest in ancient historical sites around the world, Pompeii being at the top of the list. One of his responsibilities was to cut the grass at the family farm. For many years he cut the lawn while listening to music through his head phones, he did a great job until about three years ago when his strength dwindled. Although his life was short by most standards, in many ways his life was fuller than many.

His loss has left a huge hole in his family,
especially his brothers who loved him and
whom he loved so much.
