It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregary Christopher Treble on March 19th, 2017 at the age of 44 in Edmonton, Alberta. Greg leaves to cherish his memory, son Max, daughter Olivia, their mother Connie, his father Gary, brother Scott (Kris), brother Mark (Leah), numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. Greg was pre-deceased by his beloved mother Noreen.
Greg grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan and played for the Regina Rams football team while attending University. Greg’s passion was always football. He achieved his dream of working in the sports community with a long held position with the Edmonton Eskimos. Max and Olivia attended the home games faithfully, and always enjoyed going to meet him in his office or the Director’s Club. We are reminded of the sentiment from the team, “Once an Eskimo, always an Eskimo” and remember fondly the days spent at Commonwealth Stadium.
Celebration of Life for Greg will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 1pm in the Jackie Parker Room at Commonwealth Stadium. We wish to thank the Edmonton Eskimos for extending the gracious offer of hosting his family and friends for this tribute. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Greg’s honour may be made to Edmonton Minor Football or the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
