In Loving Memory of Gillian Marie Rigler (Palser)
January 5, 1963 ~ September 3, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jill Rigler in Edmonton, AB at the age of 54 years.
Jill will be remembered for her love of life and ability to make friends everywhere she went. She spent most of her life in Grande Prairie, AB where she worked in early childhood development for many years. In 2013 Jill moved to Leduc, AB to be with her daughter Fallynn and her grandkids Ben and Charlie where she quickly made friends and belonged.
She loved all things colorful (especially purple) and was known for her sweet, loving and feisty personality. She loved animals, dogs the most, especially her dog Viper. Jill made life brighter for all who knew her. She was happiest when vacationing with her family to Mexico or Disney World, shopping or simply spending time with her grandchildren who were the loves of her life.
One of Jill’s happiest moments was being able to see her daughter get married and be at the wedding after a long stay in the hospital. Her long battle with many illnesses could never bring down her spirit – her huge heart is an inspiration to us all.
Jill will be lovingly and forever remembered by her daughter Fallynn Palser-LaRose (Ben); her step-daughters Tanya Saar (Kevin) and Trudy Rigler; her grandchildren Benjamin, Charlie, Kailey and Oliver; her nieces Niki Wall (Brian) and Penny Hof; her nephew Danny Hof (Joanne); as well as many, many friends and family members.
Jill was predeceased by her husband Ernest (Ernie) Rigler, her father Benjamin Palser, her mother Johanna Palser and her sister Catherine Hof.
A Memorial Service will be held in Grande Prairie, AB where Jill spent most of her life on September 30, 2017. The location will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Humane Society.
