Iam so sorry. I just heard about this. I wish I knew sooner. My condolences . I was a friend of Gil’s for many years. He gave a toast to me at my wedding as we worked together for years in hospital security. My best to his family. I hope someone is able to respond to this. Take care.

Uncle Gil was a great addition to our family !! He was an easy guy to love right from the start. My girls loved when he would do his nose picking joke with his stubby finger !! They also remember when he dressed up as Santa one year !! He will be dearly missed by all ♥️

Will miss the fun banter between Charles and Gil and the goofy stories, but most of all I’ll miss the genuine friendship and respect that Gil demonstrated towards others. He will be missed except for push starting him on his Harley!

I’m so sorry to hear of Gil’s passing. Gil was my Forman at Alberta Highway Services Leduc for 6 years. I remember him being such a stand up guy, a gentle giant. Although we lost touch over the years he was a very important influence on me and taught me a great deal about work and life. I loved hearing all his stories about being a member of the RCMP.. Gil you will be missed, thank you.

Words can not express the profound loss that we feel on news of Gil’s passing. He was a friend and a gem of a human being. He was so proud of Shelly and his wonderful family. His face lit up as he shared with Mike and I special moments he preserved on his phone. I am privileged to have known him during this short journey he shared with Shelly. Shelly, I pray your heart will heal. May God comfort you. We will all meet again. Gil – rest In Peace.
