Geraldine Anne Carson

We, the family of Geraldine Anne Carson announce that she has gone on to be with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after a year long battle with breast cancer.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Shawn and her daughter Kristen of Edmonton, AB, her son Evan (Carla) and her grandchildren Emily, Kyra, Finn & Lexie of St. Albert, AB, her brother Brian (Michelle) Sharkey of Winnipeg, MB, her sister Donette (Jim) Montgomery of Calgary, AB and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in Alberta, Manitoba & Ontario.

Geraldine was predeceased by her son Darren and her parents Jim & Emily Sharkey.

Those of you who knew Geraldine knew that she was a people person and was truly interested in every person she came across whether you just met or had known her for years. She was forever complimenting everyone she encountered and always saw the good in every situation and person.

This was seen in Geraldine’s passion and love for Jesus Christ. She professed this love and passion to anyone and everyone. She was truly “a Fisher of Men”. Her whole life and being was dedicated to the Lord and throughout her time in the hospital she continued to pray, worship and listen to scripture with her many visitors over the last ten months. She never wavered in her faith even until her last breath.

The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the staff of Royal Alex Hospital Station 41 for the compassionate care they gave Geraldine during the final several months of her life.

A Celebration of Life for Geraldine will be held at Christcity Church, 14788-156 Street, Edmonton, AB on Wednesday July 11, 2018 at 1.30 pm.

In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to Operation Smile on her behalf.
