George passed away after a lengthy battle with Multiple Myeloma at the Sturgeon Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife Janet Nilson, daughter Shelley (Jay) Antoniuk & family, son Jason Manchur, sister Anne (Lloyd) Coles, brother-in-law Dennis Karbonik, step-daughters Tracy (Dwain) Boynton & family, Dana (Jodie) Stafford & family, nephews Randy Manchur, Jon Manchur (Veronica) & family, Dan Manchur, Jeff Manchur (Trish) & family, and numerous cousins.
George is predeceased by his father Peter Manchur, his mother Eva (Wes) Randall, sister Pat Karbonik and his brother & best friend Wally Manchur.
George’s strong faith and belief in God was shown as he spoke of how he was ready to go back home to see his heavenly “Daddy”. We have faith that he is now in a resting place awaiting the return of our King so he can be resurrected and taken home to be with his fellow believers.
The immediate family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who have expressed their condolences & prayers to the family during this difficult time. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Gibson, Nurse Leanne and the rest of the nursing staff at the Sturgeon Hospital who tended to George in his last hours and showed immeasurable care and compassion to the family. A special thanks to Dr. I. Sandhu and the amazing staff at the Cross who have supported and cared for George through his 8-year battle with cancer. You all have helped George and us through this whole process.
He will be lovingly missed by family & many friends.
