GEISLER, Kenneth (Ken) Richard

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth [Ken] Richard Geisler, 67 of Edmonton, Alberta on November 19, 2022 at the University of Alberta Hospital.

Ken is survived by his wife, Debra Geisler [nee McDonald], sons Jonathan [Myrna] and Thomas [Radka], daughters Katie and Rosie [Nathan] and granddaughters Kadence and Thea; as well as his mother Lilly Geisler, brother Don [Nicole] and sister Linda Froese. Mother-In-Law Ruth [Hank], brothers-in-law Jim [Pam] and Bob [Sheena] and Sister-In-Law Pat and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father Theofil [Ted] Geisler.

Ken touched many lives and has family and friends all over Alberta, United States and Mexico. We appreciate all the prayers, love and support that we received over the last many weeks when Ken got sick while traveling and able to return him back to Canada. We know that this support will continue as we adjust living without a husband, father, son, brother and friend.

At Ken’s request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Central Baptist Church, 9419 95 Street NW, Edmonton, AB at 11:00 a.m. The service will be available to view via livestream at:

In Lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made in Ken’s name to The Alberta Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [Alberta SPCA] at

A second Celebration of Life will be held for his American and Mexican friends in San Carlos at a later time.

Condolences to Debbie and family, Don and Linda and families. May the Lord comfort you all in this difficult time. Debbie, I believe we were in at least one class together at McNally high school. Ken quickly and professionally wired our garage many years back. May your memories be warmly cherished.

Met this fine man and his wife in San Carlos, Mx we all enjoyed the winter months in the warmth and mission work together at the Community Church. Thanks for the get togethers at your famous supper and especially your visit to Kelowna and our evening at the Gasthaus. Unfortunately your journey has been cut short. Our blessings and prayers are with the family and may the good Lord give you the peace and understanding why this happened. We hope to be with you on Dec 1.

I pray you will find rest and peace as well as comfort during this difficult time. God does eventually heal but the path to healing is difficult. May He uphold you with His right hand and be your husband, father and son as He promised. Does Jesus care? “O yes, He cares, I know He cares. His heart is touched with my grief. When the days are dreary, the long night dreary, I know my Saviour cares.” I have personally experienced this in my life.and Jesus never fails.
