Gail Anne (Bjerke) Ferguson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, sister-in-law, wife and fantastic aunt Gail (Bjerke) Ferguson. Gail passed at 01:45 on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the University Of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, AB. Never alone, Gail passed in the arms of her husband Glen and surrounded by family.

Gail was born in Montreal on 05 June 1961 and was the beloved daughter of Johnny and the late Vera Bjerke.Gail was warm and fun-loving with a dry and slightly sarcastic nature. Those of us who got to know and understand this side of Gail were truly fortunate. Gail will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Gail is survived by her father Johnny, husband Glenn Ferguson (formerly from New Waterford, Cape Breton) who remained true to his wedding vows and stayed by Gail’s side till the end, sister Wendy Ferguson and brother Bruce. Gail was pre-deceased by brother Donnie who left this world at 2 years of age.

Also left to mourn are her many nieces and nephews. FERGUSON: Colin and Charlene, Shannon, Alyssa and Mollie Grill-Donovan for which Gail had very special relationships with, Andrea, Ashley, Sunni, Tara, Brittany, Victoria, Tracy (Simon), Dean, Amanda, Brandon, Aaron, Julianne, David and Stephen. SAMPSON: Troy, Raynell and Lindsey; MORRISON: Mitchell, Richard and Mark; BJERKE: Amber and Aylas.

Brothers and sisters-in-law: Harry and Elizabeth, Jimmy (Dimpels), Ray and Anna, Brian and Donna, Janette (Sampson) and Ray, Billy and Nataliya, Gwennie (Morrison) and Barry, Donald (Smokey) and Sharlene, Steve and Bernie (Muise), Eddie and Sandy and Bernalda wife of Bruce Bjerke.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
