It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grand-father and great grand-father, Frank (François) Charles Baillargeon who died peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 86. He leaves behind a legacy of memories, laughter and love for all who were privileged to have known him.
François was born on May 25, 1928 to Alphonse and Bernadette Baillargeon on a farm near Edam, Saskatchewan. As an adult, Frank was a successful realtor and businessman in Edmonton and Fort McMurray. He was also instrumental in the founding of the Paroisse Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin and an active member of the Franco-Albertan community. In his retirement years, Frank resided in Beaumont, AB.
Left to grieve his passing but celebrate his life and spirit are his five children: Suzanne (Phil), René (Dawn), Denise, Jeannette and Louis (Nathalie), ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his first wife Gabrielle, his sister Béatrice, his brother Gabriel (Marj) and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Raymond (Noëlla); his sisters, Germaine, Reine (Umberto) and Jeannine; his second wife Véronique as well as his son-in-law, Richard Ulliac.
