Francis ‘Frank’ Edward Mullen

-

It is with great sadness that the family of Francis ‘Frank’ Edward Mullen the third, announces the end of his Canadian dream with his passing on November 23, 2015. Yet, it is with gladness that we recognize that his spirit and zest for life carries on in his wife Nell, daughter Gail (Mike), stepchildren Mary, Gavan (Linda), Eileen, and Susan (Dee), as well as grandchildren Sean (Amanda), Heli, Anna-Rebecca, Megan, Brianna, Lucas, James, Seamus, and Celina, nephews Billy (Kim), Stuart (Margaret-Anne) and Ross, and an extensive family of relations and friends from every walk of life.

He was very active in the passions that fueled his life, including the Kinsmen Clubs of
Montreal-Anjou and Edmonton, the Liberal Party of Alberta, and with the Festival Players and Horizon Players Theatre groups. He was also a very enthusiastic fan of the Celtic soccer team of Glasgow, Scotland where he was born and raised. Frank was predeceased by his first wife Vicky, his infant son Steven, son David, daughter Kathryn, mother Theresa, father William, and sister Jean.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at St. Thomas More Parish, 210 Haddow Close NW, Edmonton. For those unable to attend, a toast of “Slainte” with a glass of the finest single malt scotch will do. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Kathryn Stewart

My special memory of Uncle Frank was when I visited the family in Edmonton many years ago. My gran, sister and myself had a lovely time and I especially enjoyed the days we spent at the cabin at The Lake with Uncle Frank sailing on the lake.
Thinking of all the family at this difficult time.
Love from Kathryn
