Morrison, Florel (Blossom)
It is with great sadness that the family of Florel May (Blossom) Morrison announces her passing on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the age of 77 years.
Ms. Blossom as she liked to be called was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica in 1940 to Geraldine and Stedman Blackstock. She grew up in Clarendon where she met her husband and had her 6 children. She then later immigrated to Canada in 1991 and resided there until her passing. She has been a mother, a homemaker, a wife, a caregiver and even ran her own home business but above all she was the definition of love. She enjoyed cooking, singing, volunteering, babysitting and going to church.
Left to grieve are Blossom’s 6 children, Paulette, Charmaine(Todd), Dwight(Jennifer), Dean(Suzette), Carletta(Robert) and Ronnette. Blossom will also be forever remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Blossom is also survived by her 3 brothers and 1 sister whom will also miss her dearly along with her many other family members and friends.
The family of Blossom wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the many supporters they have had during this time of grief.
Memorial donations in memory of Blossom may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Brain Care Centre.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Serenity Funeral Service, 10129 – Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Berean Church of God, 13020 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
