Flora Poorai (Oudith), of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 74 years. She slipped away peacefully at Royal Alexandria Hospital while surrounded by her family. Flora was born January 30, 1943 in Marabella, Trinidad and Tobago. In 1966 she married Rudolph (Rudy) Poorai, and together they had three children (Kathleen, Terri-Lyn and Camille). Flora also leaves behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren, Dylon, Ryan, Krystoff, Alexandria, Austin, Piper, Samuel, Ty and Naomi. A unique soul, Flora was a homemaker who immensely enjoyed cooking for her friends and family, she loved making her yard look beautiful with pretty flowers and tending to her garden, she was always happy having her family from Trinidad, B.C. or U.S. visit so she could see them. She generally loved taking care of everyone around her (including her four-legged family). She will be greatly missed by family and friends near and far. Flora is survived by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, brother, sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service organized by Serenity Funeral Home will be held at the Fort Saskatchewan Anglican Church on Saturday, August 4th, 2017 at 11:00am.
