Judith “Judy” Marleen (Engebretson) Fleck of Tofield Alberta, passed away suddenly October 6th, 2021, with her family by her side. Born on April 22nd,1941 in Berwyn, Alberta to the late Clifford and Ruth Engebretson.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Albert Fleck of 59 years; three children Kimberly (Doug) of Tofield, Allan (Yvette) and Stacey (Chris) of Sherwood Park; 7 grandchildren Jodisa (Glen) of Onoway, Lyle (Kristen) of Leduc, Andrew (Chelsea) of Edmonton, Jordan, Sara, Hailey, and Tyler of Sherwood Park; 6 great grandchildren Mack, Birk, Ilah, Austin, Georgia and Emma. Her sister Betty and brother Howie of B.C. She was predeceased by her sister Joan.
Judy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but wonderful memories.
Judy loved to bake and kept an immaculate home. She loved to catch picture moments on her iPad and was so proud to show them off to her family and friends. She was an accomplished florist and loved flowers and gardening. Every year she said, I’m not going to put many flowers in this year, but the greenhouse had too many nice ones she couldn’t resist. Judy loved her pets, cared for her animals well into their geriatric years and never went to bed without a pet by her side.
Judy always looked beautiful leaving her home, never stepping foot out the door without her hair or makeup done. Whether going out shopping or to dinner, she was always put together, even for that quick stop at the casino just to try her luck.
Most of all Judy loved her husband and her family. Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date.
“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine food and medicine for your soul;” Judy would love for you to always have flowers in your home, in memory of her.
Donations to the Cross Cancer Institute or an animal shelter of your choice are welcome.
