It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Ruth Fisher of Spruce Grove, on January 12, 2018 at the age of 72 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Originally from Cookson, Saskatchewan, Eileen started nursing in Saskatoon prior to moving to Alberta with her family. She worked for many years as a secretary at St. Joseph and St. Marguerite Catholic Schools in Spruce Grove before retiring to help take care of her grandchildren and volunteer in the community. She will be lovingly remembered as a tenacious, yet caring, loyal and generous wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, with a penchant for hummingbirds.
Eileen is survived by her husband of 52 years Lewis; her daughters Patti, Sheri (Albert), and Cindy (Brad); Grandchildren William, Alison, Diana, and Nicholas; Siblings Richard (Margaret), Betty (Ted), and Lori; together with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends spread far and wide. She was predeceased by her father Robert and her mother Gladys.
In accordance with Eileen’s wishes, no service will be held. A private remembrance will be held at a later date.
