Well dad.. you have been gone for over four years, and I wish it was getting better. But the vacancy in my heart seem deeper than ever. You were my father but even more so my best friend. Not a day goes by that my thoughts pull from your image. The image of a man who was always there for his family. The image of a father would was firm, loving and strong. An image of a person who was faithful to his friends.. You lived a full life father and one that was not a waste. What you left behind is proof of that. I love you dad. See you some day.

My condolences to the family, I was supervised by Ed when I was a constable and he was a Sergeant in the sixties. I later became his executive assistant when he was Deputy Chief in Operations Division. He was known as a ” tough boss ” but had the respect of many of us. We became better friends and one of the last members that I visited before I moved to B.C. He will always be remembered by me and others.

Tom Pearson.

Ed Hahn. An officer, a gentleman, a mentor, a friend. I salute you sir, rest in peace. Distance makes it impossible for me to be at your funeral in person but rest assured, I will be there in spirit. My most sincere condolences to the Hahn family as they deal with their loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

To my extended family I express my heartfelt condolences at this very difficult time. I know dad talked of many wonderful times when he and Erhard were young. He would want me to tell you that my family and I are very greatful that Erhard kept in contact with us but most of all made it important that being a member of this wonderful family was alway there for us to share with you. My love and hugs to you all as we keep you in our prayers now and always. Earhart I know that Rudy will be there to welcome you.
