My family and I have many great memories of times spent with Dutchy and his family. Sad to hear he is gone. My condolences to Rene, Chis and Jay. Your dad was one of the loudest and kindest men I have ever known. Under his gruff exterior was a heart of gold. Love to you all.

To the family of Dutchy.
My condolences to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. I was fortunate enough to have met him about 5y years ago when he was seeing Cindy for his hair cuts. And when se retired I was fortunate enough to be his next hairdresser. We had some amazing talks about cruises and he was thinking of coming with his granddaughter to Alaska with my Mom and my self. My deepest condolences to his family he most definitely will be missed.

Dutchy with me in the band when I subbed in as a drummer. Dutchy and me the day after the tornado on the tanker. Dutchy with me at #9 asking the two deputy chiefs, who he rarely saw, why we should pay for their dinner. Knew how to keep a secret, too. Enjoyed working with him. RIP Dutchy

So sorry to hear about this precious man I got to call my friend. He always treated me so great. We had so many happy times together. He visited my home here in NL. We did a big fish fry for him and Tom and Brian. But the one thing I had to have with the fish fry and mashed potatoes and peas was baby carrots. So I put on two packages and I told him he was not allowed to leave the table until they were all gone. We laughed so hard we cried. He will be missed. Thinking of you all at this time. David and Agnes Petten.
