On February 11, 2016, Elodie Ida Dwyer, formerly of Whitecourt, AB, passed away peacefully after a short illness, at the age of 94 years (2 months short of her 95th Birthday).
Elodie is survived by her children, Corine Berryman of Whitecourt, Willie (Lorraine) of Mayerthorpe, Fred (Stephanie) of Whitecourt, Joyce (Tom) Whiting of Rich Valley, Wayne of Edmonton and Pat of Edmonton; 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter, Alyssa Berryman. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Ruby Ludbrook of Stony Plain, Annette Wicker of St. Albert and Loretta Martin of Edmonton and one brother, Ken Marion of Entwistle as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her husband Michael (1987); 3 sisters, Aldinia Marion (1965), Florence Davis (2006) and Rose Barclay (2009); brother Harvey in infancy (1932); grandson Fred Whiting (1986), granddaughter Tina Porsnuk (2014) and son-in-law, Allan Berryman (2010)
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Whitecourt Legion at 2:00 pm. Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made in Elodie’s memory to Extendicare Mayerthorpe Residents Council, Box 569 Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0.
