It is with much sadness and love that we say goodbye to our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather Elmer Earl Mark who passed away at the age of 80 years.
He will be remembered by his wife Betty Mark; his children Jean Bonin (Morris), Nancy Mark, Kevin Mark (Georgina Miller) and Lori Forrest (Dwight); his grandchildren Jennifer Schell (Mike), Jessica Schmold (Paul), Michelle Bloshka (William), Karissa Ligtelyn (Chris), Brad Lange (Jessie), Hannah Lanphear (Brent), Tyler Mark (Daniella) and his great-grandchildren Cassandra Ruysch (Eric), Anna Fulks, Jacob Schell, Samantha and Graham Lanphear, Chelsea Ligtelyn, Nathalie Lange and Elizabeth Mark.
The second oldest in a family of 14, Elmer was predeceased by his four brothers (Scotty, Bob, Jim and Don) and his five in-laws (Norman, Annette, Walter, Maureen, and Alice). He will be missed by his 3 brothers (Ken, Len and Ed) and 6 sisters (Elsie, Shirley, Joyce, Phyllis, Darlene and Carol) and their families.
As a heavy duty mechanic that spent over 35 years at Eljay Diesel, Elmer will always be remembered for his strong work ethic. A Mr. Fix-it who loved remote control planes, Elmer’s retirement years were spent flying with friends.
A special thank you to all the staff at Good Samaritan Southgate for the loving, compassionate care they gave to Elmer in the last year.
A private family tribute will be held in his honour.
