Richard

We were so pleased last year to get to Canada to see Aunty Betty and some of our Canadian family. Aunty Betty, who didn’t really like surprises yahoo’d like the rest when Lily, my Mum, her sister walked into the kitchen announcing that it was lovely to see her but that she was never doing the journey from England again! We subsequently were not sure if Aunty Betty was just pleased to see us or also just a little relieved to find out that her extended stay that had been arranged was because of our family visit and not that Heather was planning to steal her money and put her in a home! It was lovely to see Aunty Betty, who never really changed from the ‘Lady’ I remember visiting from Canada when I was a child, enjoying life and having fun….and not really suffering any ill effects from transporting large garden planters from the Isle of Wight on her lap, packed into a small car by her nephew with three of her sisters….but that’s another story! Love You Aunty Betty x.
