It is with a heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Edmund Bell. Ed passed away peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Ed was born September 29, 1935 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to Edmonton in 1955. Ed was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Frances in 2001. He had worked as a sales representative for most of his career and was a proud member of the Associated Canadian Travellers since 1971. Ed enjoyed reading, cooking, visits with his neighbours and friends, watching his garden grow and a drink of good scotch every now and then. Ed will be sadly missed and forever remembered by son Ron; sister Sayedea (Casey) Blackwell of Surrey, B.C.; nephews Rob (Christina) and Bond Blackwell; niece Megan Watters of Calgary; his extended family in Northern Ireland, the Carlile clan and his many friends and acquaintances.
Special thank you to the Grey Nuns hospital nursing staff and the staff of Place Beausejour, your kindness, care and compassion will never be forgotten.
As per Ed’s wishes a private ceremony will take place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice in his memory.
