Edlinsky, Raymond Albert Theodore

Edlinsky, Raymond Albert Theodore

It’s with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Raymond (Ray)  Albert Edlinsky on Tuesday November 16, 2021.   Ray is predeceased by his parents Edward and Anna Edlinsky, and leaves behind his sisters and brother-in-laws, Madelon(Denis), Carol (Don), Jackie(Darcy), nieces & nephews Shane, Chad, Chris, David, Zach, Stephanie and Madison, as well as great-nephew Rylan and great-niece Tegan.

Raymond was born in Edmonton and called Edmonton his home, even while touring around on his beloved motorbike in his younger days.   Ray loved to tinker with his motorbikes and was often found in a garage doing just that.  He was a comedian at heart and would often call out of the blue to tell a joke and brighten your day. We were blessed to have spent Ray’s last birthday together when he celebrated his 64th birthday.  Ray recently retired from the City of Edmonton and was just welcoming his new chapter in life, enjoying some well-earned retirement days.

A celebration of life for Raymond will be held in spring of 2022.

One year today that you passed Ray. I will never forget that day Nov.16 / 2021 for as long as I live. You are out of pain and at peace now. Not a day has gone by where I have not thought of you. You were a great co worker and even better friend. You will “never be forgotten”

Ray was my husband Don Seller’s best friend for decades. He was always quick to lend a hand and was here helping Don install a new ceiling fan/light shortly before his passing. He loved a good joke and had many to share. Ray gave and took no crap and lived life on his own terms. We miss you more than words can say.

Our deepest condolences to Ray’s family on his sudden passing. I worked with Ray at the city and he became part of our family. He would give the shirt off of his back to help you out and was there for me when I had health issues.Rest in peace my friend. The pain is now gone and you are with your parents watching over us.May your memory be eternal.

Ray for the time we knew each other I somehow felt that I would be the one to find you deceased. I was okay with that, knowing that you would have done the same for me. Ray I also want you & your family to know that I tried my damnedest to revive you, but it was to late, sorry. You were “Uncle Ray ” to my wife & son & the “Big Brother” I never had. Thank you. Rest in peace buddy.
