Easton (Rigby), Alice Eileen

On November 24, Alice Easton passed away suddenly at her home in Fort
Saskatchewan at the age of 79 years. She leaves to deeply mourn her husband, Dale
Easton, as well as daughter, Lisa Mutch (Michael), and three siblings – Lorraine
Charbonneau of Perth, ON, Jim Rigby of Spruce Grove, AB and Arthur Rigby (Nancy
Hope) of Wembley, Alberta. She was also loved and will be sincerely missed by her
nieces and nephews and their families as well as by many friends and extended family
across Canada and beyond. She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Justyn
Rigby.
Born at Grande Prairie, AB, she attended Lake Saskatoon and Wembley Schools
followed by completing her B.Ed. at U of A. She taught in various schools and loved
teaching, especially Biology as it meshed with her lifelong passion for Nature’s
creatures. She was an ardent environmentalist and found many friendships and causes
within her dedication to natural phenomena. Her backyard buddies will miss her
attention and nutritious feeders!
In light of COVID, no service will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held
when conditions allow. Cremation has already taken place. Memorial donations in her
memory will be gratefully received by SCARS – Second Chance Animal Rescue
Society, Box 3045, Athabasca, AB T9S 2B9, ph. 780-466-SCAR (7227) serving
Edmonton, Athabasca and areas.
